Very didactic and concise, and also the easiest to study among the classical works on the subject Papparella, Cummings and so on This edition includes as a novelty the information about scientific evidence of tests and therapies. From a physical point of view, it is divided in three thick volumes, a little difficult to handle.
I prefer the six friendly volumes of the previous editions. One person found this helpful. Arrived about 20 days earlier that what Amazon had predicted, good for me, unfortunately it was not packed for traveling long distances, so one book was a little damaged on the cover corners, I really like the way chapters are organized, it is used "Evidence Scoring" a hierarchical system to indicate the level of evidence supporting their statements, so it's easier for further research.
Everything is detailed and up to date, the illustrations are very good, which is rare for this kind of book, in fact you would not need any atlas to work with this Reference. As a drawback lets say that it could be better edited, definitely not the right choice for residents,. I realised that i have been decieved by amazon. I suffered a loss of USD and I don't how to get back my money from amazon.
This is a great ORL book. I am sorry not to have bought the one with a CD included.

I would see only electronic proofs. So, no glossy pages. No fresh inky smell. No delicious creak as I open the hardback cover for the first time to run my finger down the dates of the previous editions which I own, in their beautiful completeness.
Who would turn down such an opportunity for a preview, albeit an electronic one? Figure 1. It will serve as a reference work for experts and should be in the hands of those reading for higher examinations. Scott-Brown is the epitome of printed reference for otolaryngologists. Commissioning, compiling and editing this tome must have been no mean feat.
I do wonder who would not want a full set, for completeness and cross-reference. The book will be available at a lower price to readers in countries with developing economies. Each chapter opens with a recommendation of keywords for an online search which might offer updates to readers looking for the latest evidence.
Despite having been in progress for a decade, the information within the printed book is remarkably current. I read one particular chapter with interest, looking specifically to see whether a recent advance had been mentioned.
